Referral Terms

Every club on ClubDeck has a referral code. When a club you refer becomes and stays a paying customer, your club gets a discount on its own ClubDeck subscription. These terms explain how it works. They are part of, and subject to, the Terms of Service.

1. The discount

• For each referred club that is paying, your club gets 10% off its own ClubDeck subscription.
• The discount is capped at 50%, which is five paying referred clubs. More than five are tracked and keep the discount at 50% if one stops paying.
• The discount is a percentage of your subscription price before VAT. It applies to Pro and Club, billed monthly or annually, and it stacks with the annual price.
• The discount applies from your next invoice after it changes. It is never applied to an invoice that has already been issued, and there is no proration or refund in either direction. An annual subscription renews at the percentage in effect when the renewal invoice is created, for the whole year.
• The discount is applied to your club’s own subscription only. It is not paid out in cash and it cannot be transferred.
• A club on the Free plan can have and share a code. The discount for its paying referrals applies as soon as the club subscribes to a paid plan.

2. What counts as a paying referral

• A referral counts once the referred club has paid its first invoice (an amount above zero). A free trial does not count, and neither does a payment that fails.
• A referral stops counting when the referred club’s subscription ends. Cancelling at the end of the paid period does not end it before the subscription actually ends, and neither does a payment that is being retried.
• If a referred club subscribes again and pays, the referral counts again. A club is counted once, however many times it subscribes.
• Only clubs you refer directly count. You do not earn from the clubs they refer.

3. The referred club

• The referred club gets no discount or other perk from the code. It pays the normal price, and it gets the standard free trial if it is eligible for one.
• A referral code only works on a club’s first ClubDeck subscription, at checkout. A club that already has or had a subscription cannot be referred later.
• A checkout takes either a referral code or a sales code, not both.
• The referring club’s name is shown to the referred club at checkout, and the referred club’s name is shown to the referring club’s administrators together with its status (pending, active or lapsed).

4. Not allowed

Referrals are meant for clubs that are genuinely separate from yours. A referral is not counted, and may be removed afterwards, when it appears to be your own club or one run by the same people: for example when the clubs share an administrator, are billed to the same customer account, card or tax ID, or when the referral was made up to earn the discount. We may also remove referrals and discounts obtained by abuse. These checks are automatic. If you think a referral was rejected by mistake, contact support@clubdeck.fi.

5. Changes

We may change or end the referral program. A change applies from your next invoice and does not reduce a discount for an invoice that has already been issued. We will announce changes in the app.
